Renewing or moving out
Here is what to expect as your lease comes to an end. Your lease has the exact dates and notice rules, so please check it too.
Renewing your lease
- 1 We reach out before your lease ends to talk about renewing.
- 2 If you want to stay, tell us early. It makes planning easier for everyone.
- 3 Any change to rent or terms will be in writing before you sign.
Moving out
- 1 Give us notice in writing, as your lease requires.
- 2 Leave the home clean and empty, including closets, cabinets, and the fridge.
- 3 Return every key, fob, and garage opener.
- 4 Send us your forwarding address so we can return your security deposit.
Your security deposit
We handle security deposits the way Illinois law, and Chicago law for Chicago homes, requires. If we make any deductions, we list them in writing.
